Susan L. MacLaurin, CFA, 2023 CREW Catalyst Award Winner

 Susan L. MacLaurin, CFA, joined QuadReal in December 2016 and retired from full time work in December of 2023 after 40 years in Canada’s commercial real estate industry.  In her time at QuadReal, Susan shifted from asset allocation, portfolio management and client service to communications. In her former role as Chief Communications Officer at QuadReal, her responsibilities included building and fortifying a culture of collaboration and community while supporting colleagues with the resources they required to represent the company successfully.

At first opportunity when CREW grew to Canada, Susan was proud to be a founding member of CREW Toronto and then Vancouver CREW. It is especially CREW’s success in enhancing leadership within the industry which is the unwavering source of Susan’s commitment to members of the organization.

Susan holds a B.A. from Bryn Mawr College, an MBA from the University of Toronto, and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors. Susan is the recent Chair of CARE Canada, an organization helping to unlock a gender-just future, and Adler University, an organization educating graduate social workers who themselves advance social justice.
