Join us for our spring signature luncheon event featuring a discussion with Christine Bergeron, President & CEO, Concert Properties, moderated by Jen Riley, Vice President, Brand, Marketing and Communications, Bosa Properties. This is a conversation not to be missed, as we hope to uncover valuable insights into Christine’s career journey, leadership philosophy and vision for the future of real estate.
What does it mean to be a daughter, wife, mother and CEO in the real estate industry? Come join the conversation, as Christine Bergeron shares insights into her upbringing and career trajectory and how the various roles she has fulfilled throughout her life have shaped who she is today and how she leads.
We will discuss Christine’s recent transition from finance to real estate and share insights into her first eight months at Concert Properties. Questions of DEI in real estate will be explored and leave the audience with some food for thought on what benchmarks we should be collectively setting for equitable workplace policies and representation in leadership, and what it truly means to be an ally.
Christine will include some thoughts on the outcomes we achieve as teams. She’ll also provide a high-level industry outlook, touching on uncertainties that lie ahead and how we can navigate through these with strategic planning.
Christine joined Concert Properties, a diversified Canadian real estate owner and developer, in September 2023 as President & CEO. She is a highly respected, strategic and values-based leader, whose personable style aligns with the company’s people-first culture. She brings more than 25 years’ experience building and leading financial firms where she guided their strategic development while fostering prudent risk management and thoughtful stakeholder relations.
Over her career, Christine has led wealth management, business banking and commercial real estate portfolios, has financed innovative companies as a venture capitalist and has experience in asset management. She is also a proven entrepreneur who has both created and helped build successful financial firms and this entrepreneurial perspective has continued to inform her solutions-oriented approach as a leader.
Prior to joining the company, she was the President & CEO of Vancity, Canada’s largest credit union with over $33 billion in assets under administration.
Christine has been the recipient of several prestigious awards. In 2022, she was named by BC Business as the winner of the Corporate Leader category in the Women of the Year Awards, and she also received the Business in Vancouver Influential Woman in Business Award.
Current Board work includes UBC’s Sauder School of Business Faculty Advisory Board, Chair of InBC Investment Corporation and Board member with Aviso Wealth.
Jen Riley is a passion led business and people leader with 20+ years of global brand marketing, communications, and business stewardship experience, who took an unconventional path on her way to real estate.
Today, Jen is VP, Brand, Marketing and Communications at Bosa Properties, a fully integrated real estate development and asset management company based in Vancouver, BC with deep roots in residential, high-rise construction.
This is a departure from the 10+ years she spent within the walls of Electronic Arts, one of the world’s leading video game markers where she led brand marketing and communications for global brands like EA SPORTS FC and The Sims.
Jen is a passionate advocate for women in business founding the Torch Lighter Project (www.torchlighterproject.com) a mentorship program for women in their early twenties.
